I live in the Jacksonville, FL area...and weather is bad and will get worse today, Thurs. 8/21 and tomorrow, Fri. 8/22.

I ran around for 2 days, getting batteries, new little propane tanks for the one burner stove..I have a perk coffee pot too that sits on there. Bought tons of battteries. Have 5 flashlights, a battery powered fan, an emergency radio, lantern, tv...thingie (it and my cellphone are on charge). Have filled up tons of jugs with water, have 10 frozen in freezer to keep that stuff cold, have pure, nonsmoking, odorless oil in laterns (one is an Aladdin).

So, I am just waiting for it to do something. This cyclone/trop storm is driving the emergency services crazy..since it is moving at a snails pace, top speed has been 9 mph...now it is 2 mph...is gaining a little strength presently.

I swear....if it is going to do something here..I wish it would get it over with and quit fooling around. Some areas have more than extensive flooding caused directly from the slow speed this thing is moving. In Melbourne...they have gotten 2 feet of rain. 8000 homes are flooded, roads are impassable.

We are supposed to get some very serious weather today and tomorrow and are also under tornado watches for the next 2 days.
