Greetings 2007/08/21 18:39 Karma: 0
I was here before, but then I got busy, Ben got busy, nice look to the site. But I'm here now.
I live in a small town in Manitoba Canada, where I own my own little shop. I am a Solitary, have been for over 30 years, due to living in a small town, but I have always been out of the broomcloset, so I did get some of the static, but now that I am older & hopefully wiser, it doesn't get to me any more. I have 3 grown children, 4 wonderful grandchildren, & a husband that puts up with my little quirks. I think he's worried about me turning him into a frog, which would be really cool mind you, but what am I suppose to do with a frog.

What else, oh, I make jewelry, garden, read cards, work with stones & crystals. Many, many things, sometimes I wish that there were 25 hours in a day so that I could get all the stuff that I need to get done finished. But that is all I can think of now.

I have my herb gardens, one for everyday cooking, hubby does that it's safer that way, & then I have the one that I use for my "recipes". St. John's, Rue, sage, many others. Plus we have our summer garden, mostly carrots, greens of many kinds, radishes, just things that we would eat in the summer, salad stuff. But this year our dogs decided to make a change in the garden, so with their creative digging, we now have a tossed salad.

Hello.. good to meet you. I have very fond garden memories, my mom used to grow vegies, flowers and various herbs. I especially love the chives. Hardy stuff, that chives.. & SO good on potatoes.

That broomcloset is a hard place to be in for a lifetime. I have been in and out of it a few times, myself. I enjoy being solitary, but when solitary becomes isolation and fear, it is not good. I think there is a balance to be struck, and I work to get there. It's getting more cramped in there as I get older.
