I logged on and answered this early Tuesday morning.. (really early, before the coffee kicked in but after the eclipse). I think I may have failed to 'submit'.

sorry! I'll try again.
I like traditional folk, old time, Celtic, and bluegrass but have found something to enjoy about a large variety of styles and genres. I made a good friend through work who played banjo, guitar, dobro and mandolin who shared his time and talents generously. We used to get together weekly to play, did that for several years. I understand he was on a shaman path, but he never shared details and I did not ask. Actually, his ethics, choices and unfailingly respectful demeanor spoke volumes.
For anyone who's interested, here is a partial list of tunes I especially enjoy: Liberty, St.Anne's Reel, Road to Lisdoonvarna, Sheebeg and Sheemore, Swallow Tail, Rights of Man, Scotland the Brave

, Morgan Megan, Roxanna's Waltz, Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine, Old Joe Clark, Calliope House, June Apple.. well, and then I love to throw in some Beatles and I've got a nice rendition of Hotel California and I might just toss in 'Shine on Harvest Moon' to raise a smile or two. I also enjoy just letting go sometimes and play the melody of the moment that occurs to me.
Speaking of things occurring to me... I must go for now. I just noticed it's getting late & I leave for work about 7. Time flies so fast when I write. ( :
