Is there a way to have it indicated when something has been posted for these on the forum we see.

Unless someone actually clicks on either of these, there is no way to know if anyone has posted or not. It doesn't show on the forum.

I think that's why those may be so inactive.

I see what you mean. I just created a new thread in the Kitchen section and people would not know there were new posts in that area unless they went in to look.

I think that the solution will have to involve upgrading the messageboard software to a newer version, or perhaps applying some sort of patch to get the notifications to work for nested sections. I'll look into it.

The other option is I might have to un-nest those sections so that we don't have the subfolder structure.

OK, Thanks . I didn't mean to cause extra work. I just thought maybe it would be easy to remedy to get more action on those.

I can see when I enter the forum where the new messages are. Is that an IE7 thing? or are you guys talking about something else?

The sub-board set up..mainly.

Unless you specifically look down at the bottom of the page at the messages..you wouldn't know. and even with the messages..if there are too many, there isn't enough space there for them all to show up.
